Our journey started out in Dulwich
Village 2011 and have since then run Pop Up Galleries in other affluent London
locations, from Blackheath Village across to Belgravia SW1. The Founder, Joanne
Parker explains their latest plans:
It’s been an exciting few years, capitalising
on the Pop Up trend. Along the way we have pro - actively sourced new local Artists
plus formed many working Partnerships with local businesses or organisations,
in particular with a couple of Social Enterprises who promote social inclusion
through the Arts. Securing a permanent base in Clapham will allow us to build
on our concept further. We offer a platform to some of the UK’s most talented,
emerging Artists, alongside representing a few established Artists both from
here and abroad.
Paul Kessling: Skywriting IX
Our key aim is to create an accessible,
less intimidating, a more friendly space to view and buy fine art. One of the
most interesting parts to my job is sourcing new Artists to join our Gallery.
This is often through word of mouth recommendation, visiting Graduate Shows and
Open Studio events across the country. Saying this we also receive around 20 –
30 new Artist submissions each week!
Victoria Kiff: Prisoner Landscape
At our new Gallery we will curate a
regularly rotating exhibition, so keep introducing new contemporary artworks on a
fortnightly basis. A diverse collection across genres: abstracts, landscapes,
figurative, sculpture and limited edition prints. Prices starting around £80 -
£750 for prints and paintings or sculpture from £500 to £10,000. Later this year
we will also introduce a collection of high quality, design related products
and custom designed wooden furniture.
Mo Maurice Tan: Central Park NYC
There will also be a
regular programme of events which include: 6 – 8 weekly private views, Artists
talks and art workshops for both children and adults.
We also have an
established art consultancy service: working closely both with private clients
or partnering with interior designers, architects and property developers to source
artworks for specific projects. No matter how small your project is, or perhaps
it’s your first time buying art, we’d be delighted to assist, visit your home,
measure up and provide a few ideas. We can advise on framing, deliver and hang
too.
